Would I bet against Clemson in a rematch? Nah. Should they be ranked above a team they lost to? Also nah.

Re: Ohio State... they're still practicing and working out for the MSU game. I would exclude/drop them in rankings until they are 100% out of the running for the conference championship. Even then, I bet they'll just be dropped down to #5 or #6.

 

They lost in double overtime because Notre Dame was playing against a true freshman starting his second game. They're definitely the better team.

 

I'm glad there's a rematch December 19th to settle the question.

 

Couple of things here.

First of all, they didn't lose in any part because of DJ. He was lights out of them. They lost because they were banged up on defense. So this is just an ignorant point.

Second of all, you can only play the guys against you. Clemson hasn't beat a bunch of top teams either. Notre Dame beat Clemson and 19 UNC, Clemson lost to Dame and beat 10 Miami. It's just tough to say Clemson has a significant advantage.
