Idk, I think if you tell a player something and say you’ll work to get him to a location he likes then you don’t do what you told him.... seems pretty shitty to me and that seems to be the consensus even from Pelicans fans.

 

he had been there half a season and was, publicly, very pissy about being on the team literally since the moment he got there. it's not like ainge trading IT away after everything he did for the Celtics. jj redick will be fine. he's being a baby.

like I said, I get why he personally is mad. that doesn't mean what griff did was shady or that the team owed him any differently.

Also he played a full year there last season and he asked out whenever Stan was hired as the coach cus he knew stan’s defensive plans don’t suit him well.

He said on the pod Griff "gave his word" that if he still wanted a trade after being in NOLA the first month of the year that he'd "make sure he got him to a situation he liked" and JJ is upset he didn't honor his word. It's at least a little shady
