I initially was annoyed about this since they were probably just going to sign Dipo in the offseason but I'm fine with this trade.

 

I don’t love or understand a bunch of the bulls moves but they were all fantastic trades, even if they’re a mishmash of random players, they hardly gave up anything for all of them and are probably a playoff team.

 

Im good on keeping Caris as well. I don’t think he’s that good of a player and has some chunk of a contract left. Not efficient or a good defender really either. Give me lots of picks and pick swaps.

 

I do think Stone could've probably gotten better value for Oladipo in a S&T in the offseason but KPJ needed a spot in the starting lineup now

KPJ, LeVert, Allen, Wood would be a pretty good young core for Houston to build with but....well....oh well

 

His contract is really cheap for his production, he’s far from a max player or anything. They could’ve done better than oladipo in return for him.

 

As a Rockets fan I would have just rather had Levert.

 

I’m not saying levert is awesome, but if they got oladipo for him than they probably would’ve gotten two first rounders at least

It wouldn’t have only been THT tho. The upgrade from Schroeder to Lowry is fine, but giving up two other wing players you play heavily in THT and KCP, one of which was your third or fourth best player in a championship run last year, I kind of get it.

plus the Lakers have no future in the draft and AD signed long term, so giving up a young guy with any amount of potential is probably something they want to avoid
