I'm all for people piling on Dan Gilbert, but I'm not sure what Baron Davis is even talking about here? The Cavs DID waive Baron using the amnesty clause, which paid him $27M out of $30 when he had a full year left on his contract. Baron was free to sign with anyone he wanted after that.

They traded for him...Why would they trade for him and then buy him out right away? He was still a pretty good PG at the time.

He only played 15 games for the Cavs anyway because he was traded to CLE at the end of February. They let him out of his contract prior to the start of the 11-12 season.
