I don’t think people understand how valuable Drummond would be on a GOOD team where he isn’t allowed to shoot 16 times a game and has people to hold him accountable.

He’d make a team like Milwaukee or Brooklyn way way better.

I mean...it's possible he cleared the 10 days since testing positive/being symptomatic, and is no longer contagious so can be around people, but still isn't ready to play due to lingering issues/fatigue/conditioning.

 

KAT didn’t play for like two weeks after his isolation period and traveled with the team after. I’m sure if he’s recovering they aren’t gonna rush him back since he’s a big part of the team and want to risk his health long term.

I luckily had an extremely mild case of COVID. Honestly only realized I had it because I lost my sense of smell (slight sinus issues prior to that). I tested positive 17 days ago. Prior to having COVID, I ran at minimum two miles a day. I've only ran 3x since "recovering" and could only last a mile each time. Couldn't imagine actually being a pro-athlete and returning to elite & insanely intense competition after having it. And again, mine was super mild. It's super possible he actually had more challenges throughout his case and is struggling with conditioning/fatigue/lungs/etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if Holiday doesn't play again till after the all star break

 

I have no doubt that Drummond would be valuable on a competitive, competent, contending team (although the Cavs were definitely competitive and played .500 basketball for Drummond's first 30 or so games with the team) where he's not the first, or second, or even third option on offense...but...$28 million per year valuable?
