I know this isn’t hockey related but getting off work and seeing the sharks score AND the Dame Lilliard cut throat 3 pointer made me so sad I missed an amazing sport night.

I had a conversation at work today about how good the OT was and how happy I was that Vegas won. I guess I don't remember the OT period at all. lol. Love those 1:30 finishes.

Really hope the Sharks don't make the final. I can't stay up that late watching hockey. Give me St. Louis vs Columbus.

 

I have a sneaky suspicion that Dallas will bounce St Louis. They can choke the life out of you defensively.

 

I'm 4-3 in my predictions after last night. How's everybody else doing?

I said before the season ended that I wanted the Jets or Preds (preferably Jets) round one because the Stars have the Blues number this year. Plus Bishop being from there he has that hometown edge every time he plays us. Worst match up for the Blues.

 

I literally thought every shot at Jones could go in and not exploiting that more is why Vegas lost, not the penalty that should have just been 2 minutes (ed: in hindsight obviously)

 

I'm wearing a Habs tshirt today at work and we have a visitor from one of our major vendors. I was walking into the break room from the office and he points at me from down the hall and in a very thick french canadian accent tells me he loves my shirt. He was born and raised in Montreal.

Definitely was not expecting that but it was super cool.

 

I only got the Bruins and Islanders right, I’ll be 3-4 if Washington wins tonight. Go Canes.

Great teams don't allow another team to come back from down 3 games to 1 in a series.

Exactly. One of those statements alone is enough to clarify they're not a great team haha

 

I mean, sure, but there’s probably a 99% chance they don’t blow a 3-1 series lead if the game is officiated properly lol

 

They put 4 past Jones in a game they were well on their way to winning. San Jose had no momentum whatsoever. How can you possibly say the penalty isn’t the reason they lost?

 

I’m not even a Vegas fan, but I don’t buy this at all. Momentum is a very strange thing, particularly in hockey, and the Sharks looked lifeless before that call was made.
