Barbashev has a hearing today for the hit on Johanssen. Another one where the players head is down at shoulder level and makes contact. It looked like he got mostly shoulder to me but i haven't looked at a lot the replays to see for sure.

If Acciari doesn’t do a bicycle kick with his right leg then that probably gets called a trip like it should have.

If they feel it’s embellishment, call them both and make it 4 on 4. Very easy.

You could make that argument for the hit on Krug, but I think this one is pretty obvious.

How is there really any argument on that trip on Acciari? Bozak came right into his legs with his stick. Somehow people are ignoring that completely and acting like it's on Acciari for falling back hard. It's ridiculous.

I’m not denying it’s a trip, and should be a penalty, but you also can’t deny Acciari flopped like he was just killed. He tried HARD sell that

I don't know.. I still don't see clear contact with the head.. His head bounces back but looks like shoulder on shoulder.. is there another angle somewhere?

Bruins are playing this series like a finess team but without the offensive production of a finess team. Top 2 lines are getting out-physicaled and leaned on by St Louis to the point of dominance. If the Bruins lose this series it will be because the Blues beat them down and imposed their will tenfold. Tuukka has been good all postseason which gives me hope they can edge out a couple close games in a row. I figured this would go 7 from the start so I can not say I'm surprised. We shall see.

Agreed, which is why I said of the last forty.

Ah yes, selling the trip from behind that got him taken out of the game for concussion protocol. Truly some next level embellishment.

I’m trying to remove my bias here, and yes he definitely connects with the shoulder a bit but he also squarely connects with the jaw.

    Either way, Barbashev was suspended.

I dont know how you can watch that and think he doesn't flop. His legs fly up as if the Blues player dude a full on baseball swing at his knees. He tripped him, but Acciari definitely exaggerated it. If he hurt himself in the process, then yeah, it truly is some next level embellishment.

I'm not a blues fan, and while I hate the Bruins, I don't really care who wins this. This is me watching objectively.

And speaking as someone who, while definitely a Bruins fan, has been playing this sport for over twenty years and been coaching for almost ten— I don’t know how you can think, at the speed of this game and this play specifically, Acciari is unknowingly upended and simultaneously, in that split second of time, deciding he’s going to sell the call. That’s just a tremendous stretch. You see this penalty a lot at all levels, and it’s almost always called a penalty because the possibility for embellishment is ridiculously miniscule.

I’ll agree the Bruins have been selling calls a bit in this series. But this one specifically? Definitely not.

Grzelcyk is still out tonight. Kuhlman is in and they’re only dressing 6 D.

Also rumor that Marchand has a broken hand, most likely from that scrimmage before the finals.

I’ve gained a little more hope over the last couple of days that the Bruins could pull this out tonight. My heart says it happens but my gut tells me it’s Blues in OT.

    I hope I’m wrong!

I don’t feel great about tonight. Bruins can’t let the Blues score early.

Agree. Blues are good with the lead. Bruins need to weather that inevitable storm.
