Solid game by the Bruins

 

I agree, everyone was clamoring for a winger to put with krejci but sweeny went n built a pretty consistently good 3rd line. Great move.

 

I was talking to my friend who knew Coyle and I was complaining about the deal calling him Just Another Guy.

(He told me he knew him afterward and I felt like shit)

I met him at a bar in South Boston a couple summers ago, he was hanging out with my
cousin. Really nice guy. That alone got me excited about him coming to the Bruins, haha.

 

Eh hard to get too upset about last night from a Blues perspective. Binnington has had one shit game every round of the playoffs a think and has always bounced back. This series is going 6 or 7 regardless of who wins

Also I did a ton of whining around the deadline about Boston’s pick ups, but I sure have egg on my face now. Both guys have been fantastic this playoff run, and I hope they can find a way to extend MoJo

 

Yeah I’m fine to own how much I HATED the deadline. I hope the egg on my face is scrambled at least lol

 

What do people here think about spending a ton on a playoff ticket? Game 5 tickets are so pricey but I’d love to see a game live. I don’t think I’ll do it, but the itch is there.

I just keep thinking about last night. Some of those people paid so much money only to see a blowout. I’d feel so disappointed if I spent that much and saw the Bruins get crushed.

 

My thing with it is: I’d do it if the experience is right. I almost cashed in all my apple stock to take my dad to a World Series game. I drove to New York for wrestlemania because those were the right kind of experience for me. If hockey is a big love and if the game goes right and it’ll be a top tier memory for you than the money is worth it.

 

I flew back to STL for the Winter Classic and went with 3 of my closest friends and the blues put on a show against the (rival) Blackhawks. Totally worth it. Don't even know how much I coughed up for it altogether and it doesn't even matter to me because it was worth it.

That said, if you are wanting to put it a credit card and can't pay it off without paying interest... don't be dumb about it.

 

I’m already planning ahead for Seattle tickets for certain things. Obviously you never know how far your team is going to go but honestly I’d be willing to spend a lot on certain tickets.

SCF home game: $1,000
SCF home game 7: $2,000...?
WCF home game: $250
1st/2nd round home game: $150
First ever playoff home game: anything probably

 

I’d only pay those prices if I knew it was a cup winning scenario for my team.

 

I have been to two Bruins playoff games (2014 vs Detroit, 2017 vs Ottawa).

I have yet to see the Bruins score a goal in a playoff game in person.

Was the Ottawa game the game where McAvoy had a goal called back? I was at that game and it was both a really cool experience and incredibly frustrating.

I’ve been to a few playoff games and they’re always a blast but I don’t know if I’d be able to stomach forking over $1,000+ for a ticket.

That said, the first bruins playoff game I went to was in 2010 against the Flyers when Marc Savard came back for his first game after a concussion and scored in OT for the win. It was amazing. That series turned into a nightmare though

How is everyone feeling about the game tonight?

I have a feeling it's going to be a lot closer than game 3, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Blues win. Feels like this series could just swing back and forth very quickly.

 

Feeling like this is going at least 6 maybe 7. This is essentially a must win game for the blues so I expect them to come out aggressive from the start. I think if a puck or two get through binnington early then they're in trouble. Bruins need to be better on even strength cant keep relying on the power play.
