Thomas didn't play a shift after that hit. Not sure how it isn't charging but whatev... Felt the calls were pretty weak for a Finals game but Blues definitely took their foot off the gas after the 2nd goal and then never got the momentum back from Boston so they deserved what they got.

 

How was that charging? He stopped skating at the blue line and the hit was at the hashmarks and he didn't leave his feet to make the hit

 

I think it's odd there is so much 2nd guessing on whether that should have been a penalty or not, but literally, no one is acknowledging the part where Krug gets like german suplexed to the ice, held there, and then had his helmet purposefully removed.

Personally..I'm fine with no-calls both ways.

 

No problem with the hit. Just seems they called much weaker shit than that all night long. Should have been a penalty on Perron right before the hit in front the net I thought for roughing.

 

Yeah, the Perron stuff probably should have been a penalty but I'm always for the refs letting them play rather than calling everything

Perron should've got a penalty so that Krug doesn't have to mindlessly charge Thomas.

Watch any clip he's going in full steam to hit Thomas with no intention to play the puck. Textbook charge.

Skating with the intent to hit isn't a penalty. He stopped skating 20ft before contact, his feet didn't leave the ice and his arms were down at his side

 

Having your feet on the ice and your arms down are not involved in charging penalties.

 

Thomas should have gotten the penalty because playoffs.

 

This is absolutely not true, he was 100% headed for the puck

 

And... Thomas out tonight. Coach says doesn't have anything do with Krug hit but he didn't play a shift after that hit so...
