That’s just incorrect lol. He has all the requisite size numbers to play tackle. People are more concerned about his ability to mirror faster rushers, and get to the second level for run blocking, than his size.

And besides I’ve always conceded he has concerns and argued he has the technique to overcome them. That is directly consistent with me saying I don’t love Burns cause he lacks an inside counter so he is more easily washed outside the play.

Yes, the one that had one good season and fizzled out. The one who is actually the same weight as Burns and also showed far better strength in Combine testing. The one who was drafted by a coach who runs a scheme that has proven success with smaller pass rushers (not sure where you got that last sentence, Dan Quinn has the LEO position in his defense).

Burns is 6’6” 235 which is a basketball shooting guard build. He is not well proportioned for the NFL, you can admit that. He DOES struggle with balance against strong players on tape, which verifies the concern. I AM taking it on a case by case basis haha, hence why I trust Sweat to overcome this more than Burns

 

I did a mock draft that had the Packers leave with Devin White and Ed Oliver so I am your new GM and you will offer me decades of job security.

he is 6'5", 249lbs. So the same weight as von miller and taller. His tape is misleading because he is better suited for 3-4 and, again, faced MUCH more pressure than most edge rushers in this draft because he was the only threat on his team.

He is better for a 3-4 I agree with that. I can admit I’ve been speaking from a 4-3 perspective and not taking that into account. That was wrong.

But I still wouldn’t take him over Sweat. I think he’s not as valuable as Sweat because Sweat can do either. For a 4-3 team specifically, Ferrell is also a better prospect
