I feel like the Jags would draft Nick Bosa if he fell to 7, so I understand your pain haha Like, I’ve had to just come to grips with the fact Dede Westbrook is gonna be a primary weapon for the Jags and someone we try to resign. He’s a piece of shit but im powerless. My team is gonna do what they’re gonna do to win & it’s just standard practice to brush a rough past under the rug in this league.
Everything I've heard about Simmons and that incident doesn't leave me concerned tbh. I wouldn't draft him out of principle but he's certainly not a Dede Westbrook
I did a thing. Going purely off the player teams have met with the most, here's how the 1st round shakes up. 1. Kyler Murray 2. Nick Bosa 3. Quinnen Williams 4. Dwayne Haskins 5. Rashan Gary 6. Daniel Jones 7. Jawaan Taylor 8. Josh Allen 9. Ed Oliver 10. Drew Lock 11. Cody Ford 12. Jonah Williams 13. Montez Sweat 14. Andre Dillard 15. Will Grier 16. Brian Burns 17. Devin White 18. TJ Hockenson* 19. Jachai Polite 20. Greedy Williams* 21. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson 22. DK Metcalf 23. Jaylon Ferguson 24. Devin Bush 25. Josh Jacobs 26. Jeffery Simmons 27. Clelin Ferrell 28. Mack Wilson 29. Byron Murphy 30. Kaleb McGary** 31. Johnathan Abram 32. Noah Fant *Hockenson and Greedy have taken no meetings but tight end and corner are the positions the Vikings and Steelers have been going after the most. **The Packers have met with very few first rounders. McGary is BPA for them. Plus there's always that one team that reaches for a lineman every draft. McGary could be that guy this year, who knows.
Yeah even if Allen is on the board I’m still not mad if they take Taylor Allen would be awesome too, but we haven’t had ONE good offensive tackle since we traded Eugene Monroe in *squints* 2012??
*channeling my inner CarpetElf by sounding positive when I’m actually insulting them* yeah I wouldn’t be upset if the Jags passed on Allen either
Everyone thinks a tackle is a boring pick and doesn’t realize Taylor would make Fournette a lot more dangerous
Yeah I’m with you haha I think Taylor would be a good pick and is probably the best realistic pick for them Allen is just one of those guys that I’d take in a heartbeat if he somehow fell to me outside of the top 5 regardless of need
I’ve never heard of a player getting more flack than Fournette after one bad season lol If his rookie year was bad too maybe I’d understand all this but he at least deserves this year to bounce back
He deserves to not be cut and get a chance to redeem himself, but he also earned the right to be the punchline until he does that
It’s not even year 3 and he carried us to a playoff victory his rookie year. Lol. People just need to chill. He’s only a punchline cause he’s a Jaguar.
Nah he’s a punchline now because the NFL is such a “what can you do for me right now” business and his 2018 was undeniably a disaster See: Andrew Luck - 2018 offseason, this site’s reaction to Jared Goff because he had a bad 5 game stretch, etc
