I'm all aboard the TJ Hockenson hype train and no one can stop me. I'm gonna be very disappointed when the Lions take him at 8 or the Bills pass on him (unless it's for Ed Oliver). Meanwhile Bills fans are screaming at each other that a TE is never worth a top 10 pick despite the fact Scott Chandler is the best one the team has had the last 15 years and after getting owned twice a year by Gronkowski.
Hear me out what if Beane is just trying to build an entire team of "First Guy Off the Bus" characters? Josh Allen - huge QB Tremaine Edmunds - huge LB Ty Nsekhe - huge human being (listed at 6'8, 330) Jordan Phillips - huge DT (6'6, 340) Metcalf would fit right in.
Also, there's no way Simmons plays this season.. right? I could see the pats taking him because they could do that but can the colts with a 30yr old Andy luck do that?
? Wouldn’t the Colts have a longer window with a 30 yr old Andrew Luck than the Pats would with a 42 yr old Tom Brady, so they’d be in a better place to do that?
I don't mean that, I mean the pats could easily win without him. The colts need talent sooner than later, they don't have belichek.
Oh, I'll definitely die one day. But when I do, Brady and Belichick will be on their way to Super Bowl Ring #42
My guess is that Simmons goes surprisingly early (before 26) so it isn’t an issue, but from a football standpoint only, I have no issue with this Colts team taking an elite talent who needs a redshirt year. They have 34, so they’d get someone to contribute this year that’s around the same talent level of what they would have taken at 26, plus have the entire rest of their draft From an “I don’t want to root for him” perspective, I don’t want him to be the pick
