For defensive line it won't. For quarterback it will, I'm talking myself into Justin Herbert out of desperation but to be honest I think he is the only one worth a 1st rounder and I wouldn't touch him until late.
Okay Herbert is still better than Bortles haha. I'm not saying I WANT Herbert. I'm saying I'm expecting them to consider him so I may as well talk myself into it now. There's no amount of talking that could get me on the Drew Lock train though.
No, becuase it still means commitment for 3ish years at least, to draft him. Which also means missing next years better QB prospects Bortles is gone by 2020 regardless If Herbert developed better it would be becuase he was dealt a better hand than Bortles in terms of supporting cast. As college prospects Bortles legit showed more upside as a passer in college than Herbert does
Like Bortles was certainly a better “prospect”; he just panned out to be so inconsistent and have such bad habits with his mechanics that it’s unacceptable and not worth his ceiling of potential.
Yes but Bortles is broken now haha. Again, I don't want him, I'm just not going to rule out them drafting him.
Herbert is a nice college QB. He doesn’t remotely look like an NFL QB to me though. His learning curve is steep
I have to believe he will come out this year why would he want to compete with Tua/Fromm in 2020 when he'd be the clear #1 QB (as of now) for 2019?
I'm not debating it, he probably should. It's just been clear since even before this college football season, he wants to graduate first. Allen should've came out last year too.
