Panthers will be picking around 8-10. What DEs are best case scenario or realistic? If Williams falls I say we take him no matter what and finally fill the LT need. But I doubt he’s there. Biggest needs for us are DE, LT, C, DT, FS Although, Taylor Moton hasn’t been a bad. I’m just not convinced we resign Darly Williams. And I think Moton is better at RT.
Like, this is literally a more descriptive version of what I said about him haha Doesn’t matter though I could still see the Jags giving in to the pressure to change QBs and over drafting him like they’ve done 3 times before (Leftwich, Gabbert, Bortles)
Brian Burns, Anthony Nelson, Montez Sweat, and maybe Zach Allen (if he continues to rise). Jachai Polite and Clelin Ferrell are best case scenario for Carolina, but Ferrell will probably be gone and Polite isn't the best fit in their scheme.
Keep an eye on Jawaan Taylor. He could push Jonah Williams for that top OT spot or he could drop like a rock. If he shows up to the combine in shape, watch out.
Jags pick higher and if I had my way we’d get there first haha I love both prospects. I’ve watched their tape against each other in that CFB championship game multiple times. Jonah stonewalled Ferrell most of the game which makes me rank Jonah higher, but in the fourth quarter Ferrell’s superb, scrappy hand technique and length got him in the backfield a few times
if you had your way we'd get that coveted week 17 win over the Texans and watch as Carolina drafts Ferrell/Williams
Jawaan plays strictly right tackle though right? He’s a better athlete for sure, to the point where blocking most dudes looks EASY for him. Slimming down to 325 helped him a lot cause he still has top notch strength but he’s also quick for his size. But I still wonder if an upside RT would get drafted over a guy who is very technically sound at LT? I don’t see it happening unless Jonah has a poor combine, personally, but you tend to be a little better with this stuff than I am.
Huh, I guess they were a worse team and deserved the higher pick more than we did in that scenario *shrug*
Hey if you don’t wanna have this argument then stop bringing it up lol. You’re not gonna change my mind.
Rivera is talking about resting starters on both sides of the ball. Teddy should go off. Gimme that high pick.
As far as Rivera “resting starters” (see: throwing in the towel early even though he still gets paid nearly a hundred thousand dollars for this game), he SHOULD sit Cam down and should’ve shut him down awhile ago. It’s also slightly less of a “cheating” issue because the Saints clinched home field advantage and can’t benefit from another win. I would absolutely think that’s super shitty if they were playing a team that could get a better playoff seed, or could eliminate someone else with a win.
