Trevor Lawrence will be the best QB prospect over the next few years. Whatever happens with Justin Fields will be big too. He has a chance to be special.
I hate to put this label on a kid so early, but Trevor Lawrence might be the best QB prospect ever (on paper). CFB Playoff will be huge for him, but Clemson should be in every year Lawrence is playing for them.
Coming out of high school, yes. His SPARQ is absurd for any athlete. He'll get bigger and stronger by the time he's done at Clemson and end up being 6'6 230 with some deceptive wheels. It's what the NFL wants now. We've seen big athletes play the position, but he's a true, polished passer already with big time athleticism. I'm excited to watch him develop over the next few years.
I am fine with Eli/Flacco for two years. Just keep showing the guys film on this kid and assure them the wins are coming.
Guys Jonah Williams is goooood at pass blocking. My only concern is he struggles a bit with some speed rushers, and yet he needs to gain 20 pounds for the pro level, so I hope that doesn't make a minor flaw into a major issue. But I'm very impressed with his hand placement, his kickslide is CLEAN and he's very good about not opening himself up too wide, and he shows great balance to shift his weight quickly when the defender counters. He really uses his length well too and CONSISTENTLY has better timing on his punch than the defender. Still studying him as a run blocker. He seems to be better at the second level or as a pulling blocker than someone you want to run directly behind.
