I need to see some 2018 tape, all thats left of that site is 2017 videos on youtube and some of them aren't available anymore
Ed Oliver seems to be slipping in a lot of mock drafts. And idk why. Cause if he's there at our pick that's my #1 Choice. If he's on the board and we draft a motherfucking quarterback, that is literally Bortles over Mack and Gabbert over Watt all over again and I'm gonna hate everything.
Yeah this is the best defensive class in a very very long time. And the worst QB class in a very long time lol.
Yeah but he like yelled at a coach and didn’t focus on the team or something. Major character concerns obviously
It's my dream pick right now. Our secondary would be great. I love Greedy and really really hope we can get him.
My rankings of the Jags' first round choices so far: -I'm gonna go ahead and assume we ain't getting Nick Bosa, who should be everyone's first choice in this draft. 1) Ed Oliver - not only is he a top 3 talent in this draft class, but he could instantly replace Malik Jackson and take $16M per season off our books. You never want to overproject, but Oliver looks close to how Aaron Donald looked as a prospect - very high ceiling if he develops properly. 2) Jonah Williams - our line was pathetic without Cam Robinson this year. If Cam looks worse after the ACL tear, say hello to our new left tackle. If Cam looks back in business, well then now we have two great tackles and can CUT PARNELL. $8M off the books, and an improvement on the field that will dramatically improve our rushing attack with Fournette. 3) TRADE DOWN - I mean, damn, there's so much fuckin talent in the first 15 picks that we'll get a bargain if we trade down. We could fill more holes this way, or even better, get the picks we need to trade up for Tua or Fromm next year. And if we're gonna be dumbasses and draft Haskins or Herbert, at the VERY LEAST get better value out of them. If we stay put at 4 / 5 / wherever we end up, I'mma need them to get me an elite player instead. 4) Greedy Williams - I like AJ Bouye but I'd pay him $10-$11M per season, the $16.5 he gets right now is overkill for a CB2. Williams is a natural ballhawk who could take our defense to the next level by adding to Ramsey's picks. If you want LONG TERM dominance in the secondary, this is how you do it, because we need pay Ramsey what he expects to be paid. Buy us 4 more years to get both CBs paid. 5) Dexter Lawrence - if the plan is for Taven Bryan to replace Malik jackson, this is the natural replacement for Marcell Dareus, cause he's basically the same thing: a 330 pound nose tackle who is ultra nimble for his size and capable of creating disruption and pass rush as a 3-tech DT and 5-tech end as well. This is the most cost effective option, having replacements for both our DTs clears up $30 million on the books for extending key young pieces - and might be the best way to justify signing a free agent QB rather than drafting one. 6) Clelin Ferrell - I know it's two guys from Clemson here but Ferrell is legit and would be a SEAMLESS replacement for Dante Fowler. We're all unsure how many years Calais Campbell has left as an elite player, even while he continues to be top 5 rated on PFF. I'd rather address pass rush now, and coach up a new DE who can learn from Campbell before it becomes a pressing need. His best attribute is, he's strong for 260 lbs and knows how to use his length, making him a perfect counterpart to the explosive & sudden Yannick Ngakoue (who hasn't shined with added snaps after the Fowler trade.) 7) N'Keal Harry - no part of this draft pick is sensible but the dude is crazy. He has the electric ballcarrier moves of a smaller receiver but he's also 6'4" with insane coordination and ball skills. I'm expecting some shocking combine results from him. Harry is the kind of athlete who transforms your offense. If we're trying to have weapons for a new QB and we can't or aren't willing to trade down, this would be my favorite choice. 8) Christian Wilkins - I much prefer Oliver if we are drafting a disruptive DT but this is another choice along those lines.
^ How do you have Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence ahead of Quinnen Williams and Derrick Brown? Ferrell ahead of Allen and Polite is also confusing.
Well Allen is a stand up rusher so depends on who gets hired as DC. He’s my number one overall pass rusher guy. I have Ferrell ahead of Polite though. Polite is too much like Ngakoue. I’d prefer to add a stronger rusher with better hand techniquie. Marion Hobby is now our DL coach so that makes me tilt toward Clemson players as well, hence why Lawrence came to mind first
