The one glaring asterisk of course is if Bryant reaches MVP caliber again then that makes a difference at the margins, given how tight the division is. Of course projections aren't going to expect that though. And even if that happens I would suggest yall's rotation is still questionable at best

Yeah, it's silly and to give all these billionaire owners credit like oh my gosh they might have to pay extra tax dollars in 3-4yrs if they decide to pay an elite player who's entering his prime poor bbys. Good GMs will more than not find ways to make it work to minimize that anyway.

Definitely. He's played better than Machado since he came up. Only difference would be Lindor turning 28 just as he hits free agency for the first time in 2021. (Machado is 26/turning 27 in July.)

 

Lindor will likely produce more WAR in his controllable years than Machado so AAV at least he's on the same level. He's a better SS defensively too right?

Edit: yeah 46 drs at SS so far, easily a better SS.

 

Yep. I think he'd be marketed like crazy if he were in a bigger market. He could get some nice exposure by being the "host" of the All-Star game this year. (Provided he makes it, but I know Cleveland will vote like crazy to get him there.)
