I don't understand how that is considered a weak offer. Is it the length of the contract?

 

When the Corbin offer was reported, it turned out the Yankees never made a real offer at all so it can be confusing

my friend was legit texting me about how bad we messed up to trade puig to the braves and I let the bit go on for a bit until I reminded him it was the Reds lol.

 

If I had a magic wand to change something about baseball (aside from labor stuff), I’d want there to be better atmospheres at games. While watching soccer, I’m regularly struck by the chants/songs and the general atmosphere. It seems like a fun time. And I get that there’s a difference between the two sports—soccer is concentrated action for 90 minutes; baseball has lots of breaks and lasts for 3 hours. But it’d be cool as hell if teams had songs and fans were invested and helped propagate/create them.

College baseball can have fun atmospheres and crowd participation. I remember thinking this chant was cool, trying to get in the head of the pitcher as he throws balls

I really love hearing Go Cubs Go after Cubs victories. Being at the park while everyone sings, W flags unfurled throughout the park, it’s a great experience. Something about a giant group of people singing together really gets the frisson going.

Walk up songs are cool but I wish there was participation from the fans

 

"They've figured it out" not being the same as colluding is hilarious, yea every single team has figured it out at the same time but they totally didn't discuss it with one another ever

 

I hope the Cubs never win again.
