I like Gary Sanchez a good bit and think he’s a better defensive catcher than he usually gets credit for, but watching him try to catch Ottavino’s frisbee of a slider would be so fun

DJ is not better than Lowrie. Not even close.

 

Kinda see a deal with Cleveland for Kluber or Bauer as a possibility. Put Andujar at 3B, move J Ram to 2B, Kipnis to the OF?

Lol there needs to be one WAR reference stat. They can be the same between the two or wildly far apart, I don't get it

Idk which I'm supposed to trust more either, I feel like I see bWAR referred to more but I'm not sure.

 

Fangraphs certainly goes way more in depth on stats though

When they vary drastically, I typically split the difference. No formula is completely accurate, so its probably somewhere between the two.

Bill James takes a drastically different approach, though.

Machado in the WS HAD to have affected how some in the FO felt about Machado, and there would be no way they'd take on Bauer, especially not for Andujar. Bauer would be an absolute disaster with NY media.

 

No one should want Bauer, but not having to root for Machado is probably bitter sweet as a NYY fan.

 

Good call, but would you put Andujar in a deal for Kluber?

 

I would. (But I wouldn't be happy about it at the time.)

The only (non pitchers) players I would be legit really surprised if they got moved are Judge, Stanton, and Gleyber.
