Blake Snell is interesting this season. His xFIP and SIERRA say he's better than last season, but his ERA has ballooned. Prior to today's game his BABIP is .327!

 

Can’t even get out of the 1st. Unfuckingbelievable

Also, his K% and BB% have been better. His FB% has decreased, but his HR/FB has increased.

He's doing all the right things, which is crazy, but its just not going his way.

 

It’s a recipe for disaster when an anemic offense can’t be bailed out by our usual solid pitching. Up and down the bullpen and starters are underperforming lately.

 

He’s fucking scared of his fastball lately, and there hasn’t been any word on it, that I’ve seen, as to why he’s flipped to pitching offspeed for the bulk of his work.

 

This inning has had a little of everything.
