That was like watching Bartolo pitch. Batting practice trash right down the middle... just hoping to God that the dudes lineout directly at someone instead of crush it into the gap.

Let's go ahead and trade Matt Kemp now. He's definitely reverted back to Fat Kemp, who is practically useless.

VMart got his 2,000th hit in Cleveland (where he started his career) and got a standing ovation. Baseball is cool.

Literally one of the only players to ever cry in a press conferences when it was announced he was leaving Cleveland. He went on to much bigger things post Indians, but he did not want to leave and it sucked watching him go. Happy his career went the way it did. He's great.

He's definitely an all-time favorite. I am glad he became a Tiger. It's made these past 7 years much more enjoyable.

Yeah, I'll never forget that press conference. Dude genuinely loved Cleveland. Nice post-game comments from tonight as well.

Tigers' Martinez moved by Cleveland ovation for 2,000th hit

“It’s special to have it done here,” Martinez said following the Tigers’ 11-2 loss. “For me, it was even better. Nothing against the Indians, I feel like it’s where everything started for me. I will always remember this day, until I die. What the fans did to me with that ovation. It made me feel so proud and so good that they stand up for me. I just want to let them know too that I will always have the Indians in my heart, always.”

I feel better about the Yankees when I consider nobody is going to touch the Astros this year anyways lol

And as bad as they've been they're still in the Wild Card race which is really all you can ask (ESPN having them 1 in their power rankings a few weeks ago was a joke.) 4 days off and getting Castro and Holliday back soon will make a big difference. Hopefully. I want them to just dump Gardner for anything and just let Frazier get his experience though.

I miss rookie, dominant Neftali right about now with our atrocious bullpen :(

We ruined him trying to convert him

With the Rangers? Yeah you aren't lying! All the younger BP guys from the championship caliber teams just about. Everytime I hear word that we're trying to convert someone to a starter I internally groan very hard

It's not even just trying to convert them to starters, I feel like they mess them up as a whole. I can't remember the last time they had a pitcher come out of their system that was good.

Yeah I don't get it at all especially because our system and personnel is typically well regarded.

Incredibly bizarre to see how badly the consistency of our pitchers changes drastically from one year to the next. Is there a team any worse than us?

A lot of teams but you'd think the rangers would have a handle on it. That's probably why they trade all their top pitching prospects.
