He has steered way too hard into the whole nickname, catchphrase schtick for home runs. It's gross and bad lol.

 

His Stanton call is some Italian phrase just because it rhymes with Giancarlo. Most of his he tries waaaay too hard lol

 

My best friend scored tickets to game 1 tomorrow through his work, so jealous

 

Sterling is the home run calls..... unfortunately there's a whole 99% of other things a radio broadcaster needs to do and hes bad at that. Laughable bad. Unlistenable...what the hell is going in in the game bad

 

I've never not know what's going on in a baseball game based on the announcer before. I've wanted to murder every car advertisement creator in existence, but I knew what was happening in the game.

 

Neither have I. Until I listened to sterling hundreds of times. But yankee fans are probably just used to it.

One of my friends spent a bunch on a ticket for tonight and is currently riding up from NY. Another friend at work is looking at tickets as well.

I joked to my wife about it and how expensive they were and she said “you should do it!”, which was very surprising as she’s not a sports fan at all.

Now I’m having to fight the urge. Haha.

 

Haha my wife did the same thing! So I'm going.

 

Wives rule. We went to two games last year (1&7) because she championed it. MVPs for sure.
