get rid of the good times too Supporter

Yeah it's pretty stupid really. I probably won't be able to go to that series this summer because a friend is getting married the same weekend but it would be a general bummer if Pujols is hurt or not playing for some other reason that weekend.

As a Red Sox fan, I guess I don't really understand the Dodger hate outside of Machado. They seem like they have a bunch of likable players unless I'm missing something. Maybe others see them as the Yankees of the NL? I don't know.

Should be a fun series with the Sox hopefully winning. Hoping that Dave Roberts throws out the first pitch to Alex Cora which many people have been speculating. Would be a really cool moment to see.

  4. I think it feels like the cards are stacked against the dodgers in the media too. Not stories but reporters. I assume joe buck calls some Sox games depending on the post season but that dude is the worst and absolutely a dodger hater. My buddy has a theory that since most sports press is east coast based that the sports media has this axe to grind because the dodgers left Brooklyn. I can’t believe that to be true but ever since he brought it up, it’s hard to disprove.
I know little to nothing about to Sox other than knowing a ton of players’ names so their reputation of being great athletes precedes them. The town gets a bad rap as turning on their own team/ players if things don’t go their way. Adrian Gonzalez has mentioned how it was the most difficult team to play for just because he felt he was never able to slump.
Anyway, looking forward to a fun and hopefully long series. Haha. To say I’m nervous would be an understatement

Sox fans feel like Joe Buck is salty towards the Red Sox too but maybe he'll be openly rooting for both teams to lose? But yeah Buck isn't great but I feel like 90% of national announcers are pretty poor.

Red Sox media is absolutely brutal towards the team and players 95% of the time. Just this year when they Sox were playing at a historic pace the media was spinning it that "the Sox couldn't beat the good teams and only beat up on the bad ones" and when the Sox would beat the better teams there was an excuse like "well it was because they face their 5th starter and the starting LFer didn't play". It always seems like the media wants something bad to happen instead of just letting the team play and go from there.

The Sox have gotten a bad rep because they did have the habit of talking bad about certain players once they left town, so that was well deserved. However that's changed and there's really been none of that since 2014ish when there had been some ownership and front office changes so it at least appears that the ones leaking information to the media are no longer with the club.

Gonzalez was a strange case in that the guy actually played really well for the Sox on the field but he never really fit in with the clubhouse or with the media. The media loves it when players make excuses and Gonzalez always had one. He was suppose to be a clubhouse leader but when the Sox collapsed in 2011 Gonzalez was dismissive about it and suggested it was "simply God's will the team didn't make the playoffs" and Gonzalez also took another player's phone and texted the Red Sox owner telling him to fire Bobby Valentine in 2012. It was just a weird fit.

I'm nervous as hell too. I fully admit I would have rather played the Brewers than LA. Having to face Kershaw at least twice in 7 games isn't going to be fun especially with all of the question marks surrounding Chris Sale. If I knew he was fully healthy then I would be a little calmer. It looks like there's a chance Mookie might play 2B when the Sox play in LA which would be fun and scary at the same time.

It's gonna be an extremely fun series that I think the Red Sox will dominate. I think the more consistent team wins and the Red Sox have been much more consistent both through the season and the postseason.

He used to drive me nuts but I think it was really McCarver that I didn’t like. I think Buck generally does a great job.

  13. I know it’s a scary prospect but tickets dropped DRAMATICALLY an hour or so before the games in LA last year.

Yeah I never do anymore, too many hot takes and people just saying crap to get attention. It's the worst. I just stick to podcasts that I know don't have all the nonsense in it if I want to get my sports fix.

  16. joe Davis is awesome. My buddy doesn’t like him though. I love rick Monday the most I think.

When Laura puts on the Red Sox we watch on mute because of Jerry Remy

  19. Sometimes I’ll mute joe buck and sync up with the radio broadcast so I can hear Rick and Charlie. Rick Monday has such an amazing radio voice.

  20. I feel like he just hates baseball so I’d rather have him just never call a game. I like the when costas calls the games.

In 2013, I came real close to trading in all my Apple Stock for World Series tickets. I've been trying for years to take my dad to a game like that haha.

Looks good but I wish either the background or the banner behind “18” were a different color to stand out more.
