So him taking potential balls from kids at their first games/who have never gotten one is the same equivalent to Kershaw getting a paycheck because he has a lot of money? I've never heard of this guy, but he's clearly a moron.

 

I used to read Hample's blog when I was a lot younger because he put up tons and tons of pics from stadiums, which was great for me since I wasn't able to travel all over and walk every inch of ballparks, but even as like a 13 year old I could tell that this dude had no self-awareness of how he comes across.

Michael Brantley is one of my all-time favorite Indians players but can someone explain to me why the team has been so much better without him when he's not been in the line-up the past two years? Kind of crazy to think about.

 

Might be all the injuries he's went through and getting older, it seems like they're much more fresh without him. Part of that is that they established the winning chemistry while he was out, I'm sure that plays a part. Maybe advanced analytics shows something too.

 

Yeah, but he still remains one of the Indians best hitters (.296) and best fielders. It makes no sense.

 

That's baseball though, which is why advanced analytics were really invented.

It's amazing to me that the Braves acquired Brandon Philips and Matt Adams for practically nothing. It's too bad Atlanta's pitching is mostly trash, the lineup is getting it done this season.

 

I finally found a left handed throwing glove and of course I buy it and my dad finds my old glove in the attic.

It's whatever because I'm just stoked to be able to play catch now.

I also didn't realize how expensive baseballs are apparently.

I still use the balls I got as a kid through various means.

I really wish I still had my glove, though. It was so broken in. I loved it.
