It’s almost like there’s the expectation they’ll lose so why get too into it. Not that I agree but it seems like that’s where a lot of the fan base is at.

Yea. I think that’s definitely part of it. Also, and this will sound lame, but I think Boston sports fans have been so spoiled that things have calmed down a bit. There’s no longer that fever pitch anticipation that builds during a gap in success. I still think that fans are hardcore but I think the average level for that passion has dipped a bit.
