I think a better argument could be made for the Yankees not to even get Stanton and instead wait for the 2018 offseason and go out and get Harper and Machado. The Yankees line up is pretty right handed power heavy so adding Stanton was a bit redundant.

I've always been a big Yelich fan but anyone saying the Yankees should have traded for Yelich over Stanton is using hindsight and will probably change their tune again next year.

 

Yeah waiting for Harper was another way, but Stanton in Yankee Stadium is gonna have better years than this and any WAR lovers, he was worth every bit of his 22 mil a year that the Yankees are on the hook for. I think they'll just add pitching and Stanton will look like a bargain next to what Harper gets. And honestly, I've seen too many lefties care about nothing but the short porch here. Most of their righties can hit the ball out anywhere.

I guess everyone ignored what Judge did in his first playoff series cause they won, 1-20 with 16 strikeouts. Give the guy some leeway. Not an easy place to come try anything the first time. Not to mention he played like 80-some straight games cause Judge was out and that was despite having hamstring issues.

 

If I hear another analyst/commentator say "the analytics say to XYZ" I'm gonna lose my damn mind.

You could tell there was definitely something wrong with him in Game 4, his throws to 1st where either bounced or lobbed over.

 

That escaped me somehow. Idk how long it will take him to bounce back. I can't think of a reference for a position player having it done on a throwing arm
