Current line of thinking on their forums is that the new Mac OS Mojave is causing the issues. Whenever I get to opening day of a season—whether it's a new game or an old save—the game just crashes while doing all of the setting up projections for the new season.

Luckily, I don't seem to be the only one with this issue so hopefully it's fixed somewhat soon

Cora’s moves have really paid off tonight, Eovaldi has been outstanding.

A fun fact about Aaron Boone is that when Mike Matheny departed the Baseball Universe for the Big Commentator Gig in the Sky, his spirit floated through the æther and descended upon Boone, meaning that the Bronx Bombers are now forever doomed to endure shit like: not getting a single fucking bullpen dude up when the starter is obviously toast early in a decisive game until the toast is already burnt, letting set starter come out for the next inning because he told you he's good or something, and of course the classic not sending in your fireman guy when there's an honest-to-god fire on the basepaths because he's a Late Inning Guy™ and leverage be damned, only to have to break the glass on said fireman later in the very same inning after the dude you did send in to clean up the mess predictably went to shit. (Sorry Lance, love ya buddy but I've seen you do it too many times.)

Yanks fans, take some comfort in knowing that Cardinal Nation feels your pain. Seriously, that shit was like déjà vu. It was uncanny. Voit deserves better!!!!!

Dunno who I want the Astros to face

Having HFA would be nice but I’d be more pissed if the Yankees beat us than the Red Sox

Bregman hits Sale so well, the Red Sox pitcher that scares me is Price because he always excels against us

People calling into sports radio in Cleveland today are ridiculous. Many wanted to fire Francona and/or trade Corey Kluber.

Disappointing end to the year, but I don't think they're done. I hope they invest a little more time into analytics and just chance it a little bit more in September by letting their roster play more frequently.

That's b.s. Boone is the only person on earth who couldn't see that Severino shouldn't have gone out for the 4th. He goes with a shutdown guy to start the inning and keeps it at 3, you can't predict how the rest of Eovaldi's start goes. Half his start was the most pressureless innings in playoffs that you could throw. They were down 3 at that point and yeah they scored one run. So technically you can say you're right. But he robbed them of any chance to compete. Severino back out for the 4th and Lynn being first guy in were instantly two of the most questionable moves in playoff history, no hindsight needed.

Unfortunately, fans are generally always wrong. What do people expect Francona to do when his #1 SP isn't sharp and his 3 best relievers (and Bauer) all have poor series? The more I watch the Astros in the postseason, the more I think their success is attributable to scouting and analytics. For a regular season series, teams don't put 100% of their resources into piecing out every single tendency of a pitcher/hitter. For the postseason, I think the Astros and other teams with bigger analytic departments/better integration with traditional scouts have a huge advantage here. Springer and Bregman are great hitters, don't get me wrong, but they're not 3-4 HR in 3 game mashers.

Even listening to Hinch talk in the mid-inning reports, you get a sense that the Astros organization is so focused on their process and distribution of data to the entire coaching staff and the players. It makes me sorta sad that MLB hasn't done a better job in general of promoting analytic data and it's application to the game. I think they do a disservice by not providing talking points to some of the color commentators because it's so damn interesting when you have someone with half a brain explain it and the implication. Talk about pitch tunneling on broadcasts instead of whether Lebron James could beat Aaron Judge in a HR Derby. Talk about how spin rate can create a rise affect on fastballs, which makes them appear faster than the radar gun. Talk about why OPS is a better pure measurement than RBIs or BA. Don't just sit there and say "Well with analytics these days, strikeouts don't matter and neither do RBIs". 1. That's an inaccurate statement. 2. RBIs don't "not matter" but they're not a strong casemaker for player 1 vs. player 2. /rant
