Good video. His intensity and work ethic is what I liked most about when he was in our system. Even when he wasn't hitting last year, it wasn't because he wasn't working. You can work with a guy like that. I wish more baseball players had that intensity. Bryce Harper definitely has it and so does Trout. I think Lindor and some of the Cubs core has that too. You want talented guys that never feel like they've arrived.

 

That last sentence is why I like Judge so much, in his SI story he said he hasn't bought a place in NY in case he gets sent down. But yeah seems lately a lot more young guys with better heads on their shoulders.

 

Why in the actual fuck does Matheny insist on going to Cecil in critical situations when he is the absolute most likely guy to pull shit like walking two batters to load the bases when we're down 4-3 in the 8th. Where is Trevor Rosenthal, who's having a career type of year so far?

 

Oh, how I have missed J.D. Martinez. That man can hit!

 

Man, I'm not even sure what to say on 3-5 in the Tribe's rotation. Salazar has some adjustments to make, but Tomlin and Bauer have just been so bad.

 

The weird thing is, they're all capable of being lights out, and often are. The problem is they're all so inconsistent. Bauer is also a headcase, which doesn't help matters. He just doesn't have any composure. Salazar is a very confusing baseball player. He was phenomenal during the first half of last year, then completely and utterly shit the bed after the all-star break (albeit, he was probably pitching injured). I'm not really sold on any of those three, but the maddening thing is, they've all shown flashes of brilliance.

 

Saw a figure last night that said since the Mariners added Cano to the 10-day DL, they have over $77,000,000 on the disabled list right now. I hate everything.

 

Yep, more money than the Rays, Brewers, and Padres starting lineup's worth apparently. Kill me.

 

Too late. We're Mariners fans so we're already dead inside.
