So just looking at some stats from last year and I found it really interesting that Gerardo Parra was essentially the worst performing everyday outfielder in baseball. He had a -2.8 WAR (dead last out of 1247 players) and -11 runs from fielding on defense (1235 out of 1247).

I fee like the pirates woildve traded Harrison by now if Kang wasn't constantly being accused of awful things left and right

Very upsetting about Reyes, but I'm hoping for a bounceback season for the Cardinals. Winning the division isn't realistic, but we've done well in the playoffs in the WC spot

My hopes for this season are Carlos Martinez emerges as one of the games best pitchers and Lance Lynn returns to quietly being one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball. That being said my hopes are really dashed for this Cardinals team.

Carlos has almost been there these past couple years. I'd also love to see Lynn quietly win 15+ games again.

I just want to see a real breakout season from him where he's in the same conversation as some of the games best. He has the potential to do that. Same with Reyes. It would be like when Carpenter/Wainwright essentially stole Cy Young votes from each other.

I'd love that as well, he definitely has the potential. I hope Wainwright has a bounceback season, as well. Also would love to see Matt Carpenter play at MVP level and get in those discussions because I think he has the potential. I think having Fowler will take a lot of pressure off of him in the beginning of the order

I feel bad for Marlins fans more than anything at this point considering everything that's gone on in the past like 8 months. I think the team itself seems to be moving in the right direction and seems like Mattingly is good for them but Loria really needs to sell that team and be done with it

They should just do what the packers do and let the city own the team

    Didn't know that.

Weren't the Braves trying to do this too recently?

Ya, but its the fans, not the city, which would imply the city owns the team like the city might own a park, which isn't the case. But i do take your point

Is it a real stock though. Like I purchased one can I then go and sell it or is it more of a marketing scheme to get fans to pay money for a piece of paper saying you're an owner?

like most team stocks, major shares are the only ones that matters. I don't know what the percentages are though so I can't say how it's divided but I would think that the people with majority shares are the main ones at the table, maybe it's more than that but I'd be surprised.

I always wonder how scripted these things are. Pretty cool though!

  24. Honestly, I'd be completely fine with selling the team and relocating, bring back Loria's old team haha. Miami is a terrible city for any sports franchise. Go Expos!!!
