I would say that if he can’t throw his slider. Which he couldn’t. And Giles can’t either. I would go a different direction.

 

But I also didn’t think it was possible to have Darvish throw under 4 innings in two starts. So hindsight is overpowering right now.

 

This is a huge inning for these batters. Good AB sets up a way more exciting 9th
