NBA finals games do not generally tip off until like maybe 9:15 on east coast

 

West coast games, though

 

oh yeah I mean generally west coast games are tipping off nice and early because the east coast time controls everything haha

my friend moved to LA 2 years ago and said his first superbowl was the weirdest experience, kickoff at like 3:20 and actually going out afterwards instead of rushing home to get as much sleep as possible before work the next day lol

 

There are definitely NBA Finals games played in the Eastern Time Zone that tip off after 9 PM

Happened this year on June 7 and June 9 in Cleveland.

 

I used to love living in San Diego and watching football at 10AM on Sundays.

 

I totally agree, I'm just specificyint not all games. It fucking sucks, trust me but I guess I understand why silver can't make it earlier as much as he'd like. In a perfect world I would just have games on throughout the day and not just at night but supposedly west coast fans get ticked off if they miss the first quarter or whatever.

That sounds like a dream, early games rule.

 

Fair enough, I'm guessing it was also to appease west coast fans but other than the finals they're usually from 7-830

 

Yeah...the main takeaway still is that NBA games are never going to be going on at 1 in the morning local time where they’re being played

 

The nhl does it the worse because they’ll sometimes have the California hockey teams started at 7:45/8 pm west coast time because they’ll delay for another game.

so that gets the east coast fans of those teams furious.

 

Or 8:45 starts in the central time zone. Has happene during the past few Hawks-Preds series and is absolutely ridiculous.

 

The NHL is such a bad league at scheduling just about everything.

Or it’s NBC fault.

 

it was like this for when we played you guys in 15. Foley went on a rant about it before a commercial break and the network cut him off.

 

I distinctly remember that and he was 100% right

 

yep, found a video too. I swore he got cut off, but doesn't appear to in this. Maybe it was just on the feed we had or something.
