But seriously the way the managers are handling these games.. with having guys like sale and Verlanders and Scherzer come in for relief... I think it's nonsense. Play the way you've played all year... trust your starter...

 

I don't find it ridiculous. You want to rely on your best arms. You can't play like you have all year, because all year you haven't been in an elimination situation.

 

But you're putting certain pitchers in situations they're not used to and aren't thinking about the full scope of the game. Gio is a top 5 cy pitcher and you only use him for 3 innings?

We all know how pitchers are a creature of habit and routine and talk about throwing that all out the window.

 

I have been super busy the last two days and have had no time to watch this. Not watching it yesterday probably did wonders for my mental health.

It's not the start time, Sunday night baseball games are 8-830 starts and I'm in bed by 11:30

9 innings took 5 FUCKING HOURS last night. It's the commercials and it almost feels like the game is purposely slowed down.

 

Yeah I'd be interested on stats for starters out of the bullpen in the playoffs. It doesn't seem to go well very often. Sale was good the other day but left in an inning too long.

 

Yea, I totally get it. TBH I don't know when the start time is because I never turn them on until the mid innings just because I was busy. I just feel like that's way too late to be playing, what other major sport makes them play that late? Unless it's some crazy OT stuff. When I see these defensive errors I'm just like, oh yea I'd be half asleep too

 

The worst part of being moved to the AL West is certainly the games at Seattle, Oakland and Anaheim

I have no chance to stay up that late as I get up at 4AM every day

as long as a game starts by 7:10 i'm good

 

the NBA has that problem too though

their playoff games are way too late, it's annoying

There are 930pm est tip off games? I don't remember an east coast playoff game starting that early. I'm talking about players playing that late, not about people having to stay up if it's on the west coast
