Kipnis batting second is an odd decision

I did post this earlier, but we still have to follow up sequential starts to really be off the hook, as it relates to Kluber.

 

Bauer was good, but I thought he got a bit too much off the plate at times.

 

Keep buying their shirts because my friend’s shop does most of them at this point.

 

I could probably wear an article of homage clothing for a month straight without repeating lol.

 

Oh I know that Bauer is good, it just came as a shock to me when he was named the game 1 starter!

I have/had no doubts that Bauer is capable of pitching great in the playoffs. My questioning of Tito was never about Bauer going Game 1...it was that his reasoning for pitching Kluber Game 2 was contradictory by saying he wanted Kluber on normal rest for a (potential nonexistent) Game 5. However, pushing Kluber back to Game 2 pushes Kluber off his normal rest - allowing him 1 extra day of rest. The thinking for me is...why wouldn't you just pitch him Game 1...AND Gave 5 if need be, which would be 1 extra day of rest, which is what they're doing for Game 2 anyway.

Also, Castrovince said that Tito's explanation of coming to the decision mutually with Kluber was not true and that Kluber the next day said it was Indians management who made the decision, and not him.

Also, another problem I had with it was at the timing of the announcement, the weather forecast for Friday was really bad, like 90% chance of rain, all day long. Should Game 2 be postponed, then it's rescheduled for Saturday, and the other games stay the same, therefore Tito's plan would have blown up considering he'd have to pitch Game 5 off short rest.

 

Work day DRAGGING. Just dying to get downtown again.
