Sounds more like when the Red Sox had to release an entire years' worth of international signings and weren't able to sign any the next year, rather than giving up picks in a draft.

Tito names Bauer Game 1 starter. Very interesting. Personally would have went with Kluber Game 1, Carrasco Game 2 and Bauer Game 3, but Bauer's home numbers are much better than his road numbers. Carrasco's road numbers much better than home numbers. But still, Kluber should be Game 1 starter and Bauer game 2 if their home/road numbers were the deciding factor.
