This Indians team is so much fun to watch. And with the injuries and Tito giving some starters rest days, it's cool to see different people step up and make plays.

Jesus that run differential for the Indians' winning streak is absurd! That's just one run shy of beating their opponents by 5 runs a game during that stretch. Knew they were killing it, but didn't actually realize how dominant they were.

So, you're saying other relievers can grow to be a 6-7 left hander who can throw a 90 MPH slider?

Dreading the idea that the Angels have a three game series coming up against the Indians that they absolutely need to win to stay in the race.

Yes, Andrew Miller has been used a little differently in Cleveland than he had been in previous stops, but look at his numbers with the Yankees:

    104 games (approximately 1.5 seasons)
    1.77 ERA
    14.9 K/9
    .822 WHIP

Andrew Miller was already an elite reliever before he came to the Indians. To say that he is a product of the Indians' system is just wrong.

Andrew Miller has really good stuff. Other relievers also have really good stuff. More relievers should be used like Andew Miller.

I don't think people understand my point. It's not that a Andrew Miller is a bad reliever it's that people put to much stock into his 50-70 IP/year making a huge difference over the course of a season.

Not to mention, the Indians gave up 4 players, including 2 of their top prospects for him. I said weeks ago, whoever started the Andrew Miller is a compliment should just stop posting about it.

In theory the number of players and quality should reflect the player they are acquring but that may not always be the case and not something I'd hang my hat on.

We're not hanging our hat on that. We're hanging our hat on the fact he's been near untouchable for years and was the ALCS MVP. I'm not sure what some of these posters aren't getting about how great Andrew Miller really is.

To say that a league championship MVP is just a 'compliment' and wouldn't put 'too much stock' in him is absolutely ridiculous.

I think highlighting the trade is to show that the Indians thought that highly of Miller to give up a big haul for him. So I think you can logically say that the Indians view him as more than a complimentary piece or whatever the argument is haha.

Since you guys love small sample sizes he did suck when it mattered during game 7.

My point is you don't build a team around a reliever no matter how good they are. A bullpen is nothing more than a complimentary piece to all your starters. There is a reason though teams give an arm and a leg for a reliever and it's because they are all so volitale that when one is good teams overpay for them.

For the record, the only other team I follow on social media aside from the Cubs is Cleveland and I've been doing it since August of last year. I really like Cleveland's team -- how can you not enjoy watching Lindor, Jose Ramirez, Klubot, etc. I just think relievers can be pretty interchangeable (Miller is very good, of course; there are a lot of really good relievers). I also don't think a player's worth can be defined at all by winning an LCS MVP. All that tells me is they were good in a series.

I hope Cleveland wins it all lol

I understand what you're saying...I've never said that the Indians should build around Andrew Miller. I just don't agree with the statement that Andrew Miller isn't much of a difference maker during the regular season is all.

Him being a 2-3 win player is considered great yet for a starter or position player considered average.

Definitely sounded like NYY fans just booed at the pitching change by TB just now. Odo had just thrown 50+ pitches in an inning in which he had nearly gotten out of a pretty good situation, but suffered two errors, a walk, and a home run after the fact.

You're not worried about Detroit scoring 11 in the top of the 9th and tying it up?
