Braves bats have been trash lately. You’re playing them at the right time. Dansby sucks again. Riley garbage. Flowers! lololol

I only went back a couple of pages but have we discussed the rumors that the Mets allegedly had their "top guys" watching both the M-Braves and Gwinnett last night?

On one hand my brain is like "Yoooo Anthopoulos loves big trades and well, Syndergaard" and on the other hand "Please don't trade your top prospects within the division"

Yeah. I’ve seen those reports and I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’d prefer to trade outside of the division. But at the same time, Syndergaard is enticing bc I didn’t realize he’s still got a few years of club control. And he’s capable of being an ace if things are going right.

I haven't seen much of him this year, I know he's having a down year by his standards. Pretending this trade did happen, I know it's going to cost one of Pache/Waters and likely one of Anderson/Wright, with probably another arm like Bryse Wilson thrown in too. That's going to hurt.

But man,I about how much a couple of vets behind the plate in Flowers and McCann could help him get back on track especially when you listen to the Braves pitchers rave about the job they do calling a game for them. And what that could potentially do in the playoffs. And then I'm excited again.

Yeah. I’d prefer not to trade Waters or Pache. I don’t see Markakis and Ender being around after this season and we’ll need these young position players. We need to unload this pitching depth. There’s so many of those motherfuckers and there’s no room for them. I’d do a 3 for 1 trade in a heartbeat.

“Also, there are concerns about being embarrassed talented players such as Diaz and Syndergaard, who have underperformed this year for the Mets, will be unlocked and flourish elsewhere. There is a particular worry about sending either to a more analytically advanced organization”

this is fucking embarrassing. all this reads back it "we are afraid that there are teams with smarter people than us and we will look bad".

YOU HIRED A GM WITH NO EXPERIENCE OVER OTHER CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE. HOW IS THIS ANYONE ELSE'S FAULT??

    MAKE. BETTER. HIRES.

I mean yeah if you can make it a 3 or 4 arms for 1 trade instead of including Waters or Pache absolutely. I just have a feeling that the in-divison premium price is giving up a good bat too. Unless you can fool Brodie with 2 or 3 arms and like, Travis Demerritte

They won't expand their organizations analytics and scouting departments the way most successful teams do because it's too expensive for them, how could someone like bvw even have had a chance to do well. There's a reason they couldn't get a better gm than they did, a much bigger and deeper one.

This was the best thing I have seen from an O's game in forever. Their last reliever had no control and they had to send Wilkerson in from centerfield to close the game. He was just aimlessly lobbing pitches and the Angels couldn't get any power on him because the ball was going too slow & they were too tired to adjust. Wilkerson is a fan favorite now.

I think that's 3 games in a row with a leadoff homer against Paxton.

Like for real, Green needs to open, let Paxton throw real strength in the bullpen for the first, get the shitty pitches out of his system.
