I watched the Houston broadcast of this play and they were ripping the reverse call, blaming Lucroy for blocking the plate, and Lucroy for “initiating contact”.

Essentially all left-handed batters hit worse against left-handed pitchers than they do against right-handed pitchers, except Ichiro??

Ichiro had a tOPS+ against LHP of 108, meaning he was 8% better against same handed pitching relative to how he usually does overall

Kelly Johnson was 2% better against LHP. Two others were even.

It's recorded and ESPN usually broadcasts it after the home run derby or all star game, if I'm not mistaken.

 

If Cleveland keeps this up, they may not be selling.

 

I don't see them as sellers at all...I mean, they're 3 games up on the loss column in the Wild Card spot. Even if they traded Bauer or something, their pitching depth is still good enough to keep them in it and I'm sure Bauer would bring back some needed offense/decent return - even though the offense is really starting to take off.

The first series out of the gate after the ASG is at home vs the Twins, so that should be fun. We will definitely know where they stand by this time next week.

 

I'd still trade Bauer, but I don't think Brad Hand's going anywhere.
