I guess the rangers got desperate for something and just gave in. The Yankees would've given up the same package minus kaprelian, if they were to trade for yu and it still would've been more than the dodgers gave. I just think they should've gotten more.

Yeah like I'd be happy it even a couple more mid-level prospects were thrown in. But I guess those 3 are better than the 1 comp pick we'd get in the draft.

The Yankees gave up 3 top 10 guys for gray and the dodgers gave up a top 5 guy and some young guys. Supposedly alaxy is really underrated but I know nothing about him. The other guy is supposedly huge upside but could be a complete bust.

Friedman came out of the deadline with a depth starter and 2 decent relief pitchers for just Calhoun and a bunch of B and C tier prospects.

He also even got rid of that Scott Van Slyke contract.

Tampa Bay Rays traded SS Tim Beckham to Baltimore Orioles for RHP Tobias Myers.

 

Dodgers traded for alot while giving up very little.

Everybody else meh

 

I can't say who benefits most. It's always hard to say when there's a straight player for player trade like this where one is in the bigs while the other is in single A. What I will say, as surprising as Beckham could be at times when he was finally given an everyday opportunity this year, I still view him as constant reminder of the 2008 draft that could've been had the Rays gone for Posey instead of Beckham with the first pick. It will be refreshing to now completely abandon the ghost of that misfortune.
