I'm just sitting here think about how much better our last few games would have gone if those 17 runs we scored Thursday night had been distributed evenly across the last few games instead. Baseball is so weird sometimes.

Yeah this is every team that might trade for a high-profile starter haha.

Except the Pirates who seem to do that just because

Good day for Vladito so far. 2-2 with 2 walks, though we was caught stealing. Hit a single 118 mph

If every game of this Cubs-Brewers series could go ~10 extra innings that would be great, let's wear those 'pens down early in the yr

I hate extra innings so I definitely hate two games lol

For one of the games, teams just call up a AAA arm to not disrupt the pitchers’ schedules. It sucks. And some stars don’t pay both games.

I know it wasn’t always like that, but, with new information on fatigue and injuries, teams rest so many guys. It pretty much makes game 2 of a double header a crap shoot.

I don’t hate more baseball, though. It’s just not always good.

I loved playing in doubleheaders as a kid. And I enjoy when they happen, but I wish some were scheduled like in the old days and not just a result of rainouts. They are a total crapshoot, though.

Crazy that Yandy Díaz only had 1 HR in 265 at bats prior to this season. Now he’s hit 9 HR in 131 chances.

Def in that situation doubleheader’s are sweet. Just not in the new mlb climate, I guess?

I think there was some chatter a couple years ago about having scheduled doubleheaders as a way of having more off days during the season but it seems as if that never got any traction

edit: I found this: The '19 schedule is out. Here are the highlights

Giants fans will get a double helping of baseball on June 29 with a scheduled split doubleheader at home against the division-rival D-backs.

But looking at the Giants schedule right now, there doesn't seem to be a doubleheader scheduled

Seems like the last scheduled doubleheader might've been by the Rays in 2017
The Rays Are Playing a Traditional Doubleheader. By Choice.
