I really don't understand why the Braves would do that. Unless Oakland is dumb and will take AAA players not named Albies, Acuna or Sims.

 

i realize the royals are in a tough spot but they have so many valuable assets they could get GOOD prospects for. Jason Vargas, Lorenzo Cain, Moustaks, Hosmer. Those are real quality bats i know a lot of teams would love (i think).

 

The Rays are just gonna enjoy this waterslide until they hit the empty pool at the bottom.

 

Maybe the rays will finally get over the hump next year

Also Sonny Gray is incredibly mediocre at best. It's a shame the Rays are actually in contention because I'd be all about going for Chris Archer.

 

Maybe..if they wanted to do it this year they would have to come up with a better answer to solve the bullpen than Sergio Romo.

I don't get the fawning over sonny gray. He's one of those players if trading wasn't a thing I feel like no one would talk about him.

lol, edited. We have Wilson Ramos too and he was on my mind apparently.

 

Didn't one of them just get injured too? The rays are so rays and it's so sad

 

Ramos got hit in the head by a broken bat behind the plate in yesterday's game. Surprisingly he is all good, save for some staples in the head. No concussion or any other serious thing.

Lol. I really like Ramos, but he has not been the hitter I thought he'd be for the Rays. Granted, he's coming off an ACL tear and has only been in the lineup since a little before the all star break. I just assumed he was gonna be this shot in the arm for the Rays that would give them that final boost at the bottom of the lineup, but he is suffering from the Rays catcher curse. Ever since we passed up Posey in '08, the catching gods have been cruel to the Rays. Now they're turning a .300 hitter into a .200 hitter.

 

That's what I like to pretend anyway. Even though I know it's probably just him trying to recalibrate all of his mechanics and timing in a new league.
