Ugh, the Tigers destroyed Toronto today after a closed door meeting. Can Avila just start shipping people out so that they don't go on some weird winning streak that makes him think they could somehow regain the momentum to win the central? They're dooone. Send JD to a winner and lets see some prospects in this system finally.

Yes! I believe, I just hope they don't do something stupid and trade away too much to try and beef up for this year.

I got an alert earlier that they are open to trade talks involving Teheran. And that they are interested in Jurickson Profar.

There is a lot to like about taking a chance at Profar. He is still really young, which sounds weird considering he has been around the MLB since 2012. He's just 24, so he still could really take off. Shoot, JD Martinez was absolute garbage when he was 25, and now he's arguably the best hitter on the trade market.

Profar was the number 1 prospect in the entire league for a while. His biggest problem is that he plays for a team that is perennially in win-now mode. They cannot afford to keep giving Profar at bats regardless of how long it takes for him to adjust to the league. Once Profar does end up putting it together, I think he's going to really take off.

If the Braves are trying to compete, I'm not sure a Profar to ATL scenario is the best, but if they can give him regular PAs, I think he'll end up producing.

 

So much for the Rockies rise haha
