I feel so bad for bird and the injury, so crushing. He probably should have came back like months later than he did.

 

I can't tell if you're sarcastic here, as a Brewers fan. I think the Brewers are good, I also think the Cubs just have a tremendously talented team and have no idea why they can't seem to put it together after being so dominant last year. It's similar to what I would see with the Tigers under Leyland. They'd play really average baseball for the first few months, then really kick it into gear in the last month and a half. But until they did that, talk show radio was so annoying with the "Fire leyland, trade away Prince Fielder, Porcello sucks" narratives.

It's just so surprising how many Cubs players are having such bad years. You'd think at least a few will turn it around for the second half.

 

The whole team is just collectively playing bad. Wade Davis was their only all star... that tells the whole story. Quintana was a great pickup

But they need someone not names rizzo and arrieta to step up.

 

And with the brewers....idk how this is happening. A roster of average is getting it done.

Their lineup is fun though. A bunch of young quick athletic guys. Broxton, Perez, villar, arcia, santana... They're all the same guy haha

 

I mean it's a roster of players who were blocked in other teams systems getting a chance to play (Shaw, Aguilar, Santana, Pina and Broxton to name a few). It's unfair to call them average players when so few of them have ever had the chance to play consistently - id chalk it up more to good scouting

The Cubs are in their "win-now" portion of this century so I don't mind the move one bit.

Still trying to figure out why both Ellsbury and Gardner played against a lefty. Frazier should've been in there for one of them. I usually defend Girardi but he's made an increasing number of bad moves this season

Probably lol. The thing that sucks is that their start got expectations way too high including mine. Were playing way over their heads.

Not that I wish hurt on someone and it sucks for Pineda's career, but hopefully Adams gets a look now. They should just go to a 6-man so you keep Adams' and Montgomery's innings down and Tanaka can do better with the extra rest.

 

This game is being setup to have Trout hit the GW HR, right?
