This reminds me of one of my favorite stories in the AP Madden league. I don't remember the specifics of it but the commissioner of the league at the time, whom I don't recall punished former AP Great/King Shithead, MHT his first round pick in the draft and awarded his pick to Clay/Titans, I can't remember what the hell he did.

The issue is, when this happened in Madden 12 or 13 or something, the ability to transfer draft picks wasn't there so the way the punishment was carried out was that he was to draft the BPA at pick...12 or something and then trade that player for a future 7th rounder after the draft concluded.

    Motherfucker drafted a punter. lmao.

Atlanta is still actively trying to move up. Have 117 and 152 to offer. Let's make a deal.

    *** Trade Announcement ***

The Oakland Raiders have acquired LB, Darron Lee and Pick #188

    In Exchange For

    2020 3rd Round Pick.

Now I have no 2020 3rd rounders but fuck it. This could be a good investment and I still have plenty of draft capital next year.

I could either lose Lee and hope for a compensatory pick or prepare for 2020.

There’s no place on the NYJ roster for him after the CJ Mosely signing.

The Redskins select Oshane Ximines, Edge, Old Dominion

Another great pick to help the Redskins fix their losses at LB in free agency. Ximines should be a solid edge rusher, but he could stand to bulk up and work on run defense. Good value at the end of the 3rd though.

    TRADE
The Jaguars have traded DT/NT Marcell Dareus and pick 109 to the Chargers for pick 97.

Dareus is an ideal fit in Bradley's hybrid defensive scheme. They took Tillery to play 3-tech, now Dareus replaces Brandon Mebane at 1-tech. In some packages (goal line, 5-2, uneven 4-3 fronts) he will play the bigger, 3-4 style DE role.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville sheds $11-$12 mill per season off their books because Yannick and Ramsey are gonna be COSTLY. We still have Abry Jones who, to be honest is actually pretty consistent at the NT position. Affordable reserve player who can definitely step-up.

@Blimp City Hero ch-check it, Jags about to make back to back picks for 97 and 98

With pick 97, the Jaguars select Khalen Saunders, DT, Western Illinois

Our DE are clearly our strength on defense - moving forward with Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue, & getting younger on the interior is obviously the move.

I love Khalen Saunders resume', he stacked three 6+ sack seasons up as an interior DT and then had a remarkable Senior Bowl week. He's getting knocks for his size but he's not really "undersized". At 324 pounds, his 6'0" stature simply gives him a low center of gravity, and despite his lack of length the dude is LIGHTNING fast in close quarters. I see him getting under linemen consistently before they can even extend. He's got a nice arsenal of rip and spin moves too.

The goal is to replace Malik Jackson. I'd be surprised if we don't get at least one good 3-tech defensive tackle out of Saunders & Taven Bryan. I think this archetype of DT is a nice contrast from Bryan, who is more of a lengthy wild animal who would rather overwhelm than outsmart his opponent. This is why I didn't choose Renell Wren, Bryan is already a "project" who could pan out or... bust. I also considered Trysten Hill, but Tom Coughlin wouldn't go for his indignant attitude & Saunders had much more production.

With pick 98, the Jaguars select Miles Boykin, WR, Notre Dame.

Like the last pick, we need to add young competition and shed big contracts. We opted not to re-sign Donte Moncrief. While Dede Westbrook continues to - literally - give Marqise Lee a run for his money as a slippery route runner... We need someone to push DJ Chark as a big sideline receiver. Our WR play was terrible overall in 2018 and we could not make contested catches on third down. Our offense could also stand to be more electric downfield, if we want to focus on play action & get defenses to back off Fournette.

Purely as an athlete, Boykin was arguably just as impressive at the Combine as D.K. Metcalf. 6'4", 220, 4.42 dash, 43.5" vertical & 11'8" broad at that size!! I could go on.

He's quite raw / inconsistent, and so is Chark, but I'm thinking they're both ridiculous athletes and we just need more of that in a sputtering offense. He does have a litany of jump ball highlights and if a competitive training camp can bring out more of his aggressive tendencies as a receiver & blocker, he could be dangerous. Ideally our future is Boykin & Chark on the outside, Dede in the slot, and Sternberger as a TE who can alternate from in-line blocking to splitting out wide.
