Love this guy as a prospect. Only a couple years at CB and has shown that at times but has also flashed big potential if he can be properly coached up
Yep. I've been mostly scouting the bigger CBs and, as @Night Channels said, I really think he would fit well in Wilks' defense. He does better in man coverage, but I think his zone coverage is better than some scouting reports out there.
Just out of curiosity, what sites do people feel gives them the most accurate prospect rankings? I like drafttek but I do use Kiper and Mcshay's big board.
Are their rankings good? I tend to avoid that site now because I often hate the mock drafts the Bills analyst does. He's an older dude who puts in a TON of work, including lengthy daily, yes DAILY, summaries from Bills training camp, but I absolutely loathe the guys he picks more often than not
I like WalterFootball if for no other reason than that they don’t have a big board and just break it down by position and expected range of draft rounds, because it’s all such a crapshoot
Walter football has solid content but it is the worst website ever. So many ads and bullshit on it. Functions so poorly.
A bit of a reach but oh well I wanna make sure I get him for Minnesota. The Minnesota Vikings select Hunter Renfrow - WR - Clemson.
They still have to break round 1 into two pages so their site doesn't crash? I haven't been there in years
But like at least WF doesn’t try to rank order guys like JJAW, Bobby Evans, Dre’Mont Jones, and Damien Harris in the same way that Big Boards do
Oh ok they do nevermind. I also don’t go to that part of the site haha I just don’t get that thought experiment in general. I have the Drafttec one up right now and it’s so hard to read. Like why do I care that Joe Jackson (EDGE) is now the 62nd best prospect and that since the last time they published their board, Josh Oliver (TE), Germaine Pratt (ILB), and Andy Isabella (WR) suddenly became “better” prospects than him
Drafttek has positional rankings too. They're not bad because they organize it by 3-technique, 5-technique, featured vs. specialist WR, etc.
They do, but it still features that overall rank and the change since the last update, because that’s what they focus on on that site. Idk, it’s probably just a preference of presentation. It’d be much more readable and helpful to me if they told me that they expected Joe Jackson to go some time on day 2, that he’s their 8th ranked EDGE, and maybe added some text explaining where he’d fit best or what his strengths are, rather than just presenting a table saying he’s the 8th ranked EDGE, 62nd ranked prospect overall, and that for some ambiguous reason, he is 6 spots worse now than he was last time I do like the way they break out by position though!
Love the site a lot and how they have multiple analysts breaking down each player. Not a huge fan of the big board there only because they are definitely more on the "Draft Twitter" wavelength with their rankings where the rankings end up pushing down certain guys that are definitely going to go high
