The worst to me was when a dude with a Boston accent commentated a Jags game.

    “The Jagwazz”

Yeah lol the hicks that live on the outskirts of Jax have the worst accent. Jikesonville Jagwires

So swampy while trying so hard to be proper. It’s like Missouri and South Carolina had a baby.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Juan Thornhill, SS, Virginia

You can only go up from Chris Conte.

Me too. I read somewhere that the Bills coaching staff has some type of connection to the NC State staff and that's why I went with Bradbury but Jenkins seems like a good fit here too

I didn’t take Elgton because I know the Jags prioritize power blockers. Definitely was on my radar though, and a likely selection if Montgomery was gone

Also the Jags need to move up. Malik Jackson available for a low 3rd / high 4th.

He had a rough season but he has showed he is more than capable, was a beast in 2017 (&2016 with Denver), we just cannot afford him for very long.

Would also trade both my high 4ths (108 & 109) to get into round 3

    The rivalry is back on

@Randall Mentzos if you want the Bears’ 3rd for the 2 4ths, that team can’t afford to turn down draft picks

Welp. Making this move probably means keeping Malik on the books for one more year but fuck it, I have another player in mind Id like to cut for at least half that much money.

If my guy is still there you have a deal.

Malik is getting cut. I cannot fathom someone giving up a 4th for him

Not necessarily this year. We could wait a year. And he will have a market if he walks. It’s not out of the question that a team wants first dibs, especially since he’s scheme versatile and could easily go back to being a 3-4 end if a team feels like he was a misfit in Jax

It’s definitely a little messy to keep him on the books, but I haven’t drafted a DT yet... and Taven Bryan so far looks like more of a run defender than a pass rusher. His development curve is gonna take time, for now I almost see Bryan like A) a good backup to Campbell B) a 5th “Big” DL we add to goal line & 46 formations.

If we don’t take part in the great DT talent this year, I’d be more comfortable letting Dareus go and keeping Malik one more year. We don’t really have a strong backup option at 3 technique. Dareus is not as viable to shift to the other DT spot as he once was.

Meanwhile Abry Jones has shown he can play the nose tackle position - inconsistent results, but at times he plays great at that position.

    he gone.
    he not good.
he will have a market but a cheaper one.

He’s above average. We definitely overpaid him to be a 4-3 DT because he doesn’t have a great feel for defending the run from that position. But a lot of 4-3 teams use their 3 tech primarily to attack the backfield & overwhelm guards, which he’s good at.... and he IS a better run defender from the 3-4 defensive end spot (which he proved in Denver)

Honestly if the Bears slotted Malik next to Eddie Goldman and Akiem Hicks, at his most comfortable position, with Mack & Floyd dominating on the edge? That would complete their front 7 and they’d be legitimately scary up front

Too bad they can’t afford him either lol
