so you've never heard sam's town
man this thread is jam packed with bad opinions.
..but I guess thats why they are 'opinions'.
Tell that to @KidLightning he thinks they are FACTS
I liked The Desired Effect way more than any Killers album
Idk sam's town was p good
@irthesteve and @KidLightning are bringing the first major hot takes I can agree with in 2019.
I’ve heard sams town. It was meh.
If I thought my opinions were bad I would change them.
I actually thought it was pretty well known that The Killers aren't good, in the same way Kings Of Leon aren't good. This aggressive love for them is new to me.
I will admit that The Killers are at least better than Kings of Leon.
Hot take 1: Every Killers album is good.
Hot take 2: The early Kings of Leon albums are good, too.
@Craig Manning Thats not a hot take, that's the truth.
And in the end, it was actually Craig who made the hottest takes of them all
They are such filthy, backwoods, country-tinged southern rock. So up my alley, and such a far cry from the arena rock band they would become.
Coachella 2011 was great for many reasons, but somehow Kings of Leon, The Strokes and Brandon Flowers were all on the lineup. I was able to avoid KoL easily enough, but I had to suffer through an entire Strokes set to see Kanye AND I made it about 3 songs into the Brandon Flowers set, which I was just watching while I ate dinner, before I had to bail due to boredum
Lol aggressive love wat
Where everyone is talking about albums they think are bad from years before 2019
not like "mean" aggressive, but how there is a TON of love for them and the album, not just mild love but aggressive love
Mostly because there are next to no 2019 albums to talk about at this point.
the Liz Brasher album on NPR right now is worth listening to
this is the end of my 2019 album takes
New Pedro the Lion streaming on there too: First Listen: Pedro The Lion, 'Phoenix'
