My guess is that the RFA stand off we’re seeing that the players want to hit UFA as early as possible, and are requesting unrealistic money to get tied down on a long term deal. Aho coming out the other day to more or less confirm he used Montreal to get the deal he wanted as early in the summer as possible really ups my respect for him.
