Rumors are that Seattle's AHL team might be called the "Firebirds" which sounds super cliche and boring and i hope is not any indication for the NHL team.

 

there is a WHL team called the Seattle Thunderbirds so that will be confusing

If we know anything by now about this Seattle team, it’s that the name will likely be horrible. Great colors though. “Sockeyes” wouldn’t be that bad, but more times than not a person is going to ask wtf a sockeye is.
