i know a lot of it is the market but how they / the team handled the owner's comments was incredible. imagine that in Toronto or NY, or even Vegas. the media would have never let that go and some teams could have been destroyed by that.

 

oh! teams may be able to, but i think you can only have 1 C and 2 A's at a time, but idk the rules on changing those titles - like can they change weekly or monthly or does it have to stay the same for a certain amount of time. but i know nothing really.

Devils used different guys for home and away I believe

 

And the Wild rotated captains for about the first ten years. I think its a pretty cool idea.

granted a lot can change before summer 2021, but i see a lot of great players and none with NMC which makes me verrrrrry interested in who's coming to Seattle

 

Duchene will be the only player with a NMC at that time. Poile does not like handing those things out. A lot can change bewteen now and then as to who the team would be willing to expose. Johansen, Duchene, Forsberg, Arvidsson, Josi and Saros are all locks. And I think Fabbro will be exempt.

It's doesn't really matter because of the term, and the huge cap space, but I'm still shocked he got $5m anywhere.

 

All that matters for the devils is booking Hall and that's not going to be impacted by the Simmonds signing.

 

we have the space this year...next season is when it starts to get cloudy if Hall is re-signed and with the extensions we have for our young guys

I have hated on the player but you can't really be mad at any 1 year contract. If he sucks so be it.

I do hope we bring in another winger somehow though
