Maybe they'll bring back mrazek on a short term and bring up the dude in waiting to take over for him
I said it should be Francis when the canes got rid of him, it's cool that his name keeps popping up with them but it could just be his agent idk
His contract with Carolina ends at midnight tonight so we’ll see. Just googled him to see what he’s up to and he works for a realty company in the Carolinas. Some of his quotes point to him not wanting to move his family across the country (understandable) but I wonder how much of the GM job he could do from Carolina for at least the next 1.5 years or so. But I’d rather not have to get a new GM right before the team starts if he still wants to stay in the Carolinas. That would be awful lol
I liked a lot of the moves Francis made to clear out the deadwood while simultaneously stocking our picks and prospects pool. TT/Bickel trade was the highlight of his tenure, giving up a second to acquire and sign Darling clearly his worst move. Who knows if his slow approach to the rebuild would have payed off in the end. As for the current Carolina management, I think we’re trying to break the record for most moves made in an offseason. I’m going to reserve my full judgement on these moves for opening night, I’d like to think it’ll all make sense when the moves are over.
Tomorrow gonna be nuts (I hope). I personally think Pit/AZ trade was good for both sides. Kinda worried bout Phil though because there is a ton of fucking casino's out here.
Oh god I now want to imagine a world where every time he calls a team they simply answer with “sir, this is a Wendy’s.”
